DIY Inspiration. Fabric Tied Lampshade. No tutorial but so easy. Either buy a lampshade frame or strip an existing one with metal struts. Then tie fabric. I did one like this using amber beads (pretty with the light on), but had to find a sturdy base to hold up the weight of the beads. Photograph from Color Issue here.
DIY Sofa with Chaise Lounge. I rarely post furniture DIYs, but this one is so simple: 2 mattresses, eight legs and fabric. Of course the amazing styling and heaps of gorgeous pillows in the photo doesn’t hurt either. Tutorial (list of what you’ll need) at Stylizimo here. *I’d buy those huge body pillows that sell for around $10 and use them for part of the “back”. You can cover them easily with cheap twin sheets (been there, done that).
DIY “Love” and “Peace” Wall Art. Free download for pattern pieces, instructions etc… At Amy Butler here. You have to scroll down the page of other free patterns (gorgeous quilts, jewelry, etc…) to find this. *Could also use the pattern pieces to trace around scrapbook paper.
DIY Lavender Eye Pillows. This tutorial also shows you how to run linen through your printer (although I’d probably use iron-on color-fast ink jet printer cloth), and I would also stick with flax seed and not rice. Also posting because this has an expensive boutique look to it and you could use muslin (with liner) instead of linen. Tutorial at Centsational Girl here.
