I asked my friend Hannah to make a festive layered red, white & blue 4th of July drink video for truebluemeandyou readers. What could go wrong?
It turns out that it’s not as easy as all the bloggers make it seem to create beautifully layered drinks! Save time and money by watching Hannah’s video to see what works in making layered drinks, and stay tuned at the end for the blooper reel of fails.
Info and Suggestions from Hannah
You can use any colors and kinds of juice that you would like, just make sure that they have very different sugar contents. The juices I used were: Cranberry Juice – 30g of sugar per 8oz serving Gatorade Glacier Cherry – 21g of sugar per 12oz serving Gatorade G2 – 10g of sugar per 17oz serving
Other suggested juices: Very sugary: Straight fruit juices (cranberry, orange mango, fruit punch). You want a drink with over 30g of sugar per 8oz serving. Middle: Gatorade and other sports drinks. You want a drink with 15 to 25g of sugar per 8oz serving. Not very sugary: Gatorade G2, or any juice that markets itself as low sugar and low calorie. You want a juice with 10g of sugar or less for an 8oz serving.
